WHAT DID WE DO???

We bought a 1962 Shasta Airflyte!  Follow our adventures of restoring this now ghetto but what will be vintage camper... We are looking to do a resto-mod, hope it turns out.  Tomorrow I will add pics of the inside, but keep in mind it's pretty much a total gut job.

  1. Welcome to the adventure! You will enjoy the process of bringing "Bob" back to the way he used to look. There are a lot of good folks out there and great resources to help you along the way. Keep taking pictures...

  2. She is beautiful two questions did you use the inner panels as templates for cutting new ones as the lighter color makes it also look larger. Did you design a new electrical system ? this area I want to do but unsure do you have drawings? THank You Jerry

    1. Most of our panels were either too rotten or missing to use. I cut the outline shape to be able to get them into place, then marked window locations for cutting them out.
We re-did the electrical. We changed to 30amp service and ran more outlets. I put in 3, 15amp circuits and 3 DC circuits

  4. Try this: to secure the trailer hitch ball coupler – there may be a bolt head in a slot on top behind the lifting latch. Once you’re hitched up, loosen the bolt, slide it forward and re-tighten the bolt.
